Additional Information About the Role Night Shift 18 hours per week - 3 - 12 hour shifts in 2 week pay periodAdditional Preferred Requirements CNA, PCT, EMT certification, nursing asstexperience or nursing fundamental course completedOverviewBarnes-Jewish StPeters Hospital proudly serves the health care needs of families in StCharles, Lincoln and Warren countiesThe 102-bed community hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services including the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish StPeters Hospital, the Breast Health and Women's Center, the Cardiology Center, the Neurosurgery Center and the Outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy Center.Barnes-Jewish StPeters Hospital is an Accredited Chest Pain Center and carries a Level II stroke certificationAdditionally, the hospital's medical office building houses offices for specialists in primary care, cardiology, obstetrics, dermatology, surgery and pulmonologyBarnes-Jewish StPeters Hospital also offers outpatient services including physical therapy, a sleep lab, and cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation.At Barnes-Jewish StPeters Hospital, every decision is made in the best interest of patients and familiesThe Surgical inpatient unit cares for surgical patients utilizing relationship based care philosophy.Preferred QualificationsRole PurposeProvides direct patient care to support the licensed professional nurses responsible for a team of patients to ensure a safe environment for patients by reducing risk of harmCollects vital information on the patient and reports such to the nursing team which contributes to the overall assessment of each patient and any changes to a patient's condition.ResponsibilitiesImplements direct patient care under the supervision of the nurse, promoting patient and family centered care in a healing environmentAdministers or assists patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), performs vital signs, intake & output, fall and pressure ulcer prevention measures, urinary catheter care, phlebotomy, or point of care testing as requested.Collects clinical data and information on patients, and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.Assists nurse with patient and family educationDocuments all patient care activities provided with correct medical terminologyActs as 1:
