Summary:
Provides the first impression for patients calling the office to arrange an appointment.
Must provide exceptional customer service.
Responsible for accurate registering and scheduling of patient's in accordance with each providers template.
Acts as liaison between patients, referring physicians, hospitals and team members.
Accurately takes messages and RX refills and sends them to the appropriate party.
Works as a team player for the office and a functional member of the practice.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High school degree required CMA/LPN/MA certificate required Training in Orthopaedic assistance a plus QUALIFICATIONS AND
Experience:
Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills Ability to multi-task Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor Neat, professional appearance Strong customer service attitude and approach Ability to perform in a stressful situation At least one year experience in clinical assisting Knowledge of anatomy and orthopedic procedures/surgeries Familiarity with medications and directions for their usage Able to apply critical thinking skills in an orthopedic setting Good analytical and problem-solving skills Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Typical Physical Demands Position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching.
Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, fax machine and other office equipment is also required.
Employee must have normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.
Employee will work under stressful conditions, and occasionally work in excess of an 8 hour day.
Employee will be exposed to bodily fluids on an occasional basis.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
